Hello friends,

I hope the month of March is going well for you and no one has had to battle the ides of March!

It has been a very interesting month for me, because I have been learning pranic healing-a kind of alternative healing that seems to have worked not just on me but my friends whom I have been using as guinea pigs! More on that next month, but it made me realize that there is so much that exists in the Universe that we don’t know about. It’s also taught me to keep an open mind, and try out everything-you never know what possibilities await you.

This month again we have some wonderful articles and interviews. I had the pleasure of interviewing Craig Newmark, the founder of the super successful Craig’s list, which is of course the prime example of how when people get together on a huge platform and work together as a community, a lot of good can come out of it. Craig’s a pretty cool guy and immensely accessible, and I enjoyed talking to him.

Priya Dutt Roncon, is a much loved politician who stepped into her father, the late actor and politician, Sunil Dutt’s very formidable shoes and in spite of being a mother of two young sons, Priya continues to balance motherhood and following her father’s path of social service. She talks to me about Bombay after the terrorist attack and why Indian politics is divisive.

This is a continuation of our coverage of Mumbai in the aftermath and how terrorism impacts our life today.

Ashanti Omkar brings us an exclusive with Dharamendra the legendary actor and its only right to feature him in Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s legend series because he was Hrishi da’s big favorite, not just acting in some very memorable films and growing as an actor, he also produced Satyakam, which was Hrishi da’s favorite film.

I also loved reading lawyer Scott Greenfield’s provocative posts about AIG and the relevance or lack of it of the Supreme Court. Matt Welsh has written two posts in our business and legal section, pertaining to the economic down turn and copyright versus creative right and he has been one of our major supporters for this magazine.

Vivek Wadhwa’s piece on why skilled immigrants are leaving American shores is also a must read.

Nobel Prize winner Dr Adil Najam, who is from Pakistan also shares his thoughts, while the multi talented Kaveetaa Kaul tells me Women’s Voice: Kaveetaa Kaul says we can no longer afford to look like a world of jokers before the world, in the aftermath of the Mumbai attacks.

Fifteen year old Gautam Narula writes a very thought provoking article on why in spite of human cruelty through the ages, there’s still hope for humanity. And he also stars in the Alpharetta High quarter final match in Hi-Q which his team won landing them in the semis.

The three celeb columns by Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, director Shekhar Kapur and my favorite Sitarist Anoushka Shankar bring a diverse flavor.

And there is much much more. Enjoy the issue and thanks for all the support as always.

Kaveta
