Lock ‘em up, break ‘em down
That’s the answer, look around
Every year, 50 more gone!
Capital punishment, kill one every dawn!
Can’t you see, it works so great,
So what if we earn all the world’s hate!
We are the United States, we can’t be wrong
Admitting a mistake makes you less strong!
Lock ‘em up, break ‘em down

The jails population is growing,
Our ignorance is showing,
We don’t know where we’re going,
We step forward without knowing,
We can’t Lock’em up, break ‘em down.
The system is breaking,
The foundations are shaking,
The crime rate is too high,
To save ourselves we must say goodbye
To this system and start afresh,
We must stop killing living flesh,
Their blood is on our hands,
Why don’t you understand?

Lock ‘em up, break ‘em down,
Highest crime rates in our towns,
But to end killing, it shows we’re weak,
To end capital punishment, it shows we’re meek
Lock’em up, break ‘em down

It is weak to be so proud, to be so full of pride
The system doesn’t work, yet so many have died
Just open up your heart, and open up your mind,
Come with me and Troy, let’s see what we can find.
I dream of a world that’s a better place, we don’t have to fight,
Where we can save each other because know that is right.
Lock’em up, break ‘em down.
The system will burn to the ground.
Lock ‘em up, break ‘em down
